I finally got my fix

After the CO trip last week I didn’t have time to make it to the grocery store before the week’s classes and work started up, so I was going on 2 weeks without a grocery fix, so today’s trip was a long one ;)

Produce:

Red pears, watermelon, bagged lettuce, white nectarines, regular nectarines

Meat:

Turkey sausage, frozen chicken breast, sliced turkey and chicken for sandwiches

Everything else:

Whole grain bread, Indian and Asian starter meals, jam, frozen blueberry waffles, a few frozen items from Amy’s, milk, and I couldn’t find some Pepperidge farms treats!

Also hiding in there are 2 new types of coffee that caught my attention, turtle sundae and streusel cake! These each only make a pot so they are just to try.

For diner Bret and I really wanted some of that fresh local Nebraska corn, so we decided to grill out! We cooked up the turkey sausages and the corn. I had some leftover salad and a few of the kettle chips from last night. That’s sauerkraut in the middle.

And desert:

3 juicy pieces of watermelon and a glass of milk!! Yum!

And working in reverse order, I made omelets and toast for brunch (slept in till 10 :o !!) This is actually only 2 eggs, spinach, mushrooms, onion, and a piece of provolone on top:

But my eyes were WWAAYY bigger then my stomach and I only ended up eating about half! Good thing Bret is a human garbage disposal, he’s very good at finishing my plate :) Here’s what I had left:

And a tasty midmorning snack of coffee and 100 calorie chocolate biscotti:

And yes that is a snow man mug :)

Cardio:

I was really sore from volleyball yesterday and decided instead of putting my legs through the pounding of running I would just hop on the elliptical. I did 30 minutes alternating 4 minutes forward and 1 minute backwards. I try to keep a steady pace of 8 mph forward and 5.5-6 mph backwards. And speaking of being sore….OOUUCCHH I knew I would be hurting today, what I didn’t expect was the barrage of bruises on my upper arms, the ball we played with yesterday was really hard and I need some recovery time before out game on Thursday! I would take a pic to show you guys, but it’s not pretty :(

Alright chums, I’m off to watch some Olympics while pretending to study for my Chem test. This test will mark the half way point of Chem 109! Which means I have 15 weeks left before ORGANIC CHEM (gasp!) Enjoy the last few hours of your weekend!
