I signed up for a half marathon! Yea, it was kinda random, Bret and I had been looking for a 10K to sign up for this spring but were dragging our feet a bit. Yesterday I got a flier in the mail for a National Guard marathon and half marathon on May 3rd and we decided this would be our race! The clincher for us was that the race is to raise money and awareness for leukemia and multiple myeloma. Bret’s grandfather, whom he was very close with, passed away a few years ago from multiple myeloma so we took it as a sign that this was the race for us. It’s a much longer raise then we were looking for but we have a few months to train so it should be ok! I created a smart coach plan on runnersworld.com and training starts Monday! Woo hoo! I’ll share my training plan with you as I go along.

Product review time! I used to do product reviews a lot back when I did the model university installments but it has been a while. Today’s product review is of Everyday Minerals makeup. Several years back I tried Bare Minerals makeup on a recommendation from a dermatologist, but I found it made my face itchy and tight, didn’t stay put for very long, and looked shiny and unnatural.
~Bare Minerals makeup that has sat for years, unused, in my cosmetic bag~
Everyday minerals https://www.everydayminerals.com/ offers a free trial kit of 5 products, all you have to pay is shipping of $3 and it arrives at your door in about 5 days. Mine arrived during a particularly bad skin outbreak (my skin doesn’t react well to weather changes) and I was THRILLED to see that within about 2 days of use my skin actually looked better! It sits really naturally on my face and felt completely weightless. I will continue using this makeup for sure. I’m not saying this is perfect for everyone, but if you’ve ever been curious about mineral makeup’s this is an excellent opportunity to try them out for basically free!
The sample products I chose were:
*Intensive foundation in Golden-Light
*Intensive foundation in Beige-Light/Medium
*Original Glo foundation in Soft Butter Peach (gotta love that name!)
*Back to school blush/bronzer
*Intensive concealer in Fair
There are a few products from Bare Minerals that I would recommend however, mainly their brushes which are phenomenal, and the warmth bronzer. One tiny container lasts for years and years (literally!!!) and it really does light up your face!

I’m bringing product reviews back to Model Behavior so stay tuned for future recommendations!

And some party pics from the being done with Chem 2 celebration!:
Round 1 was a lemon drop for me and a dark and stormy for Nick
Bret had a random beer served in a copper mug, check out those baby blues!
Then we all had a round of White Russians, yummy!
The bar we went to Zen (my favorite) has the most amazing art hanging up, check it out:
All that drinking make you a bit hungry? Well let’s check out some eats:
Kashi waffle sandwhich with skippy natural pb and raspberry syrup on top, served with blueberrys and figs on the side
My favorite combo, Kashi go lean crunch and fresh blueberrys, so tasty
Betty boop coffee w/ extra whip
Homemade mcmuffin with 1.5 eggs, a whole grain English muffin, turkey sausage rounds, hot sauce, and chedda, sssoo good! Along with a apple and some caramel dip. Are you guys seeing a pattern yet?
Fresh and tasty! Grapes, simple spinach salad with parasian cheese, and a begal with laughing cow and hummus.
I have been craving breakfast food like CRAZY this week! I am fighting off a cold so I think that may be why. Plus it’s just so quick and easy!
When I went to the dr for my calf he told me about a tiny place downtown that will fit you for running shoes and he recommended I go get some new ones so that’s on the agenda today along with a trip to the gym and then perhaps some sledding later tonight…complete with Bailey’s spiked cocoa of course
Have a wonderful Saturday!
