Hope your having a fantastic Christmas eve! Since tomorrow is my birthday I am enjoying the last day of being 21! 21 was a good year, can’t wait to see what 22 brings! Sorry I was MIA yesterday, it was such a LLOONGG day with getting my car fixed in the morning, then going straight to work for 9 hours, getting off at 8 pm, then gym, shower, dinner…phew! Usually I have time in the morning to get some stuff out of the way but I spent my morning at Wal-mart getting a new battery.
I have a couple workouts to report, first was last nights quick visit to the gym for some weights, I did 3 sets of 10 reps of the following:
Tricep pulldowns at 40 lbs
Chest presses at 45 lbs
Bicep curls at 30 lbs
Lower back machine at 60 lbs
100 crunches (total)
40 bicycle crunches (total)
I wanted to do some cardio but it was getting so late and I was just getting too tired. So this morning I went back for a heart pumping workout that felt AMAZING! I did 30 mnts on the elliptical (which is growing on me!!) at resistance 7 averaging 120 strides per minute, then just to mix it up I hopped on the stair master. I HEART THE STAIR MASTER!!!! It was tough! My speed was 70 stairs per minute and I stayed on for 5 minutes, doesn’t sound like much but man that was a killer, my legs will be sore tomorrow! I loved it though, I’m going to do this machine once a week from now on adding a minute each week. Here are my stats from today:
Total time: 38 mnts
Calories: 385
Max heart rate: 180, my max is 178, oops, thanks stairmaster!
Avg heart rate: 167
Onto the food yo!
Bok choi breakfast! Scrambled eggs with bok choi, tomato, and asparagus! Plus a bagel and cream cheese and some blackberry’s, yummers!
Here’s a shot of the veggies pre-eggs, I just love vegetables!
And here’s my packed lunch, an apple and some caramel dip, apple sauce (I’m on an apple kick lately) and a turkey swiss sammie on whole wheat.
Not food, but I thought I would show you guys my new running shoes from Brooks company. I took them for a short 2 mile run on Monday and they are light as air! MMUUCCHH better then my cheap clearance New Balances from Shopko I had been running in!
Aaanndd back to food
Maybe the most amazing salad I’ve ever had! I can’t take credit for this one, it was all Bret!
Spinach salad with tomato, avocado, raspberries, and walnuts! Soo good! Just topped with some chicken, poppy seed dressing and parmesan cheese on top, and enjoyed!
Enjoy your holidays! Have a merry Christmas! I’ll see you guys when I’m 22
