Are you getting excited for the giveaway? GOOD! You should be.
I REALLY didn’t feel like running today. My knees were stiff and I had serious “p flu” symptoms all day. On my way home it started blizzarding and I was more then happy to call off the run due to weather. However Bret talked me into going by reminding me that I already took 2 rest days this week (because of my trip to Milwaukee) and that we only live about a mile from the gym
I’m glad I went though because once I warmed up the run felt great! I didn’t quite have the stamina I usually do but speed wise I did well! One of my short term goals is to run 5 miles in an hour and today I got mighty close! I think next week will be the week I break this PR!
Duration: 1:01:19 only 1:19 away from my goal, ssoo close!
Cals: 570
Max HR: 176
Avg HR: 158
I got the estimate for my car today….$1,400!!!! Holy cow! I’m so glad I’m not the one footing the bill for this! It will take 2 days to fix so I’ll probably have to wait a bit till I can afford that kind of time without a car!
Jumping right into food for the day, this nice mess was my pre workout snack. I’m trying to use up my pantry items before I move so you’ll be seeing some random combinations for the rest of the month!
Plain yogurt, honey, 4 figs, cocoa beach granola, and hazelnuts
Bret made me dinner, you can always tell when he prepares and plates food because he serves me a HUGE portion that I could never possibly eat
Kashi Moroccan Pilaf (this is my favorite flavor so far!) a sweet potato, some brussel sprouts, chicken baked in Devil spit bbq sauce, and a side salad with mixed greens, poppy seed dressing, some candied almonds (another sign that Bret made it haha) and grated parm. This dinner was good, but seriously huge. In fact I packaged up my leftovers and there was plenty left for tomorrows lunch, so this was basically 2 meals for me!
Here’s a pic of the leftover mash
Well guys my eyes are drooping on me and it’s almost midnight so I’m going to hit the hay, gotta be at work bright and early tomorrow! Have a fabulous weekend! Again I’ll be home and blogging all weekend so check back in! Especially Sunday when I reveal the FIRST EVER MODEL BEHAVIOR GIVEAWAY!!! Can you tell I’m excited???

Bit of advice, if you live in the dorms pay the extra for the garage parking, totally worth it! I lived in the dorms my first year there, but have since moved out. What classes are you taking? What’s your major? Perhaps we’ll have a class together sometime! You’ll like UNL, beautiful campus, really nice profs, let me know when you get here if you ever want to meet up!

I was thinking the same thing! It tasted better together to, I think a yummy rice bowl with similar ingredients might make an appearance soon!

Oh girl, we are so in the same situation trying to use pantry items before we move. I really sympathize. I need to figure out some good ways to use ALL the fruit I froze from the summer. I see major berry consumption in my future
