Morning friends!

I’ve been oh so curious about OhSheGlows green goddess breakfast smoothies that I decided to give it a try myself this morning

2 kale leaves, a handful of blackberry’s, vanilla soy milk, ice, and half a banana are what went into the creation, and here’s what came out:

Does it make the grade? Let’s see:

Taste: B

Looks: C-

Nutrition: A+

It turned out a lovely shade of gray thanks to the kale and blackberry’s, but tastes pretty good! I think I’ll add some honey next time for sweetness. I would make this again for sure! It was quick and easy and I drank it while I did some chores around the house.

Then I did my workout for the day, and that’s where the title comes in. I didn’t feel like going to the gym so I decided to do arms/abs at home with crunches and strength bands, but I wanted to get in some cardio to loosen my body up because it is SORE from yesterdays killer 8 mile run! I considered yoga since I’ve been meaning to give it a try with all they hype around it, but decided today wasn’t the day and hit my DVD collection to try and find something, and that’s when I found these:

Don’t judge me :D I actually go these as a gift years ago (please note, I didn’t say they were a GOOD gift lol) I have never tried them before but decided they might be fun on an informal workout day like this. I went with the hip hop one since lap dancing isn’t really my style :D I did it for about 20 minutes and it was actually kind of fun. Very skanky hip hop dancing, but it got my heart rate up and stretched me out a bit (all those booty slides stretched out my hammy’s!!) I can’t lie, I would do this again :D I need to brush up on my stripper skills in case I get laid off next month anyway….KIDDING!!!!!!
