Today’s run:

I REALLY considered skipping running today because after yesterdays arm and abs workout I was incredibly sore today. To motivate ourselves Bret and I decided we would take a 3 mile walk in our running gear and if we felt like running we would, but if not we would just enjoy a leisurely walk in the nice fall weather. Well after half a mile of walking we decided we felt like running, so we did! We ran 2 miles solid at a really slow pace, I would say maybe 5.3 mph because I had a side ache that seemed to get worse when I sped up. I’m glad we ended up going, I always feel more content on days I go.

We spent the day SHOPPING for fall clothes and shoes, I got a few sweaters and some boots that I love. I don’t feel like taking pics right now but I will and post them tomorrow.

Yummy dinner:

Bret revealed to me the other day in the grocery store that he has never had Caprese salad before (!!!!!) so I decided we needed to make this ASAP because EVERYONE should know the joy of the simple and delicious Caprese salad. We used the heirloom tomato bought at the farmers market Saturday, which was probably the sweetest most delicious tomato I’ve ever had, and sliced mozzarella, fresh basil from the garden, olive oil, and s+p to create this delectable classic:

Also on the menu was pistachio encrusted Tilapia and roasted Yukon gold potatoes and pear onions (also from the farmers market.) I just threw them in the oven with some olive oil and garlic powder, so simple yet so good!

And finally some Nebraska corn on the cob bought directly off the farm! This was a large dinner, we were making up for skipping breakfast (oops! I don’t recommend this, we just slept late) all together:

Well kiddies I’m off to study for chem test # 6 tomorrow morning, gotta love those Lewis structures! Have a wonderful last few hours of the weekend and try not to drag ass to much tomorrow morning
